Print Ad Using Humor

  1. I've always these kinds of ads are strange. How that use humor but don't really establish a feeling of needing the product...like the Bud-Weis-Er frogs for instance. Are these really effective? Maybe just for branding purposes? ...but for food, it seems weird to me. Enjoyable, but weird. Thoughts?

  2. This is an ad for a Tuna and Beans dish by the way (if you can't read the box)

  3. A lot of businesses aim for humor in their advertisements because they are typically the most memorable. The thing is though, they sometimes lack the need for their product or service. I think that this particular ad is effective in the sense that it clearly states the name of their product, but other than that, it doesn't immediately have me desiring the product. Maybe they have other commercials or ads that create a need. Either way, I think that companies need to make sure advertisers are making ads that are as effective as possible.
